There are around 100,000 hair strands on the scalp of an average human being and it is normal to lose up to 100 hair strands on a daily basis. But if you are losing more than that then it is time for you to take some action before you start noting any bald spots. There are various home remedies which can easily be used for treating hair loss without spending too much time and money.

1. Regular Hair Massage- The first and the foremost step is to start incorporating regular oil massages into your routine. Regular hair and scalp massage will stimulate the scalp and increase the blood flow, condition the scalp and strengthen the hair roots. It also relaxes your mind and reduces stress. You can use any oils of your choice such as almond, coconut, olive, castor, argan, amla or any other. Massage the scalp with your favorite oil using your fingertips. Try to do this at least once a week.

The antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties of gooseberry help promote hair growth and a healthy scalp. Mix one tbsp. each of gooseberry or amla pulp with lemon juice. Massage this mixture onto your scalp and cover it with a shower cap. Leave it on overnight and then shampoo your hair the next morning with a mild hair cleanser.

Regular use of aloe vera may relieve itchy scalp, scalp irritation and inflammation, alleviate dandruff and add strength and luster to the hair. You can use aloe vera juice or the pulp, whichever is available. Apply the aloe vera gel or the aloe vera juice on to your scalp and leave it on for a few hours. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and make sure to repeat this remedy 3-4 times a week.
